I don't usually sell my field studies, because these are the paintings I use for my reference

for larger studio paintings. These are really personal paintings and each have a unique story behind them. I try not to have any preconceived ideas or compositions in mind when I head out into the field. I hike around for hours looking and studying my subject matter and how the light effects the surrounding areas. These twelve paintings comprise different seasons and unique geographic elements of the Montana outdoors that I experience and love.
