SOME ODD TREE THAT CAUGHT MY EYE

Some Odd Tree That Caught My Eye   16" X 12"  Oil
The Winter "Gorging" of the Madison River causes the river to freeze from the bottom and force an ice flow through the Madison Valley. This flow tears and shapes the Trees into very interesting shapes, Natures way of Pruning. I've passed this tree on several occasions because of it distinct and odd character, yet I finally broke done and gave it a shot. The painting is more for myself, a reminder of Natures Craftsmanship.

VARNEY SENTINELS

Varney Sentinels   24" X 27"   Oil
I love this area of the Madison Valley. I can sit and
listen to the Madison River and watch these
Cottonwood Giants dance in the wind.
